A new era in mobile – opportunity knocks
Friday, February 3rd, 10:00-11:30
The 4G LTE mobile standard will improve data transmission speeds, which will open new horizons for users and is expected to boost telecom operators’ revenue growth from data services. In 2012, Russia’s first LTE network might already go live and additional LTE frequencies are set to be auctioned, settling once and for all who will offer this premium service.
Is there user demand in Russia for the data speeds offered by LTE networks, or has 3G not yet exhausted its full potential? Does it make sense to launch new networks? How long will it take to free up frequencies and build out a full-fledged nationwide network? How much will it cost to free up frequencies, what is the payback period for a nationwide network and what is the potential ROI?
These and many other questions will be answered by the telecom company representatives on the panel.
