The Russia Forum 2012 to Focus on Interactivity and Social Media Resources

January 20, 2012

The fifth anniversary edition of The Russia Forum will be jointly held by Sberbank of Russia and Troika Dialog in 2012 and will receive extensive coverage on the internet. Internet users will be able to keep track of the latest information direct from the forum venue via The Russia Forum’s website and also on popular social media resources. The aforementioned portals are already providing up-to-date information on the event, and when it kicks off, they will serve as a kind of virtual pass to the forum, allowing anyone and everyone to visit the event remotely via the web.

The portal provides access to the latest forum news, event program, panel session & workshop descriptions, speaker biographies, and media partner content. During the forum, photographs and video material, participant quotations, and overviews of key sessions will be published on the site. In addition the portal will stream online broadcasts of a number of panel discussions.

As in previous years, the events of The Russia Forum will be actively covered on the popular social networks Facebook and Twitter. Friends and followers of The Russia Forum’s pages will be among the first to receive news direct from where the action takes place and will receive important statements made by speakers, exclusive media partner news, and photographs. Alongside the key participants of the forum, everyone who wishes will be able to take part in discussions using selected hashtags on Twitter.

This year you will also be able to follow the event using several new up-and-coming web platforms. Photo reports and videos from the event will be accessible not only on the forum’s official site, but also on Flickr and Youtube. Internet resource Slideshare and information publishing platform Netvibes will help those who want to gather the most relevant and interesting content form the forum’s electronic platforms in any format, including analytical material and session overviews. At the venue of The Russia Forum, by using Foursquare you will be able to find out which of your colleagues and friends are at the event too and also share your opinions on The Russia Forum.
