Founder, Drobny Global Asset Management
Steven Drobny co-founded Drobny Global, a leading macroeconomic research and advisory firm, in 2000. In 2007, he founded Drobny Global Asset Management with the launch of a macro-focused fund of hedge funds. The company is also an advisor to Pension funds, Endowments, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, and other Real Money Investors. Mr Drobny helps some of the largest institutional portfolio managers utilize macro investing principles by implementing specialized, tailored mandates. Mr Drobny also hosts the semi-annual Drobny Global Conference, an exclusive forum in which top hedge fund managers present and debate hard trade ideas.
Prior to starting DGA, Drobny worked for Deutsche Bank’s Hedge Fund Group in London, Singapore, and Zurich. He holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University.
Mr Drobny is the author of the critically acclaimed books Inside the House of Money (Wiley, 2006) and The Invisible Hands (Wiley, 2010).
