Igor Artamonov graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics and studied under the MBA-Finance programme at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

He joined Sberbank in 1992. From April 2007 to June 2011 he headed the West Siberian Bank of Sberbank of Russia and in 2011 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.

He is a holder of the Russian medal “For Services to the Fatherland” 2nd class.
