Sergey Gorkov joined Sberbank as Head of the HR Policy Department in 2008 and was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for International Business in 2010. Prior to that, he was a member of the Board of Directors at Fesco Transportation Group in 2005-08. From 1997 to 2005, he worked at the oil companies Yukos and Yukos Moscow, heading the HR Department at the latter. From 1994 to 1997, he headed the HR Department at Menatep Bank.

Mr Gorkov graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics and is a qualified lawyer and economist.
