Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Sberbank of Russia
Mr Karamzin has been a Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and CFO of Sberbank of Russia since January 2008. He also oversees the Distressed Assets Division and coordinates the Internal Audit Division at Sberbank. In 2008-2011 Mr Karamzin has also overseen the Risk Management function.
He began his career in 1992 as a banking practice auditor with Arthur Andersen. He continued as Vice President and member of the Management Board at Citibank in Russia in 1994–1998. He held various managerial positions in finance departments, strategic planning and analysis division, new business division at DLJ and CSFB in 1998–2004 in London. Until 2008, he was a member of the Management Board, CFO/Country Corporate Officer and subsequently Head of Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets with Morgan Stanley Russia.
Mr Karamzin is a Russian and British citizen and was born in 1969. He graduated with honours from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in International Economic Affairs.
