Alex De Valukhoff

Alex de Valukhoff (born in 1966) graduated from International High School in Grenoble and received an MBA from Ecole Sup?rieure de Commerce de Paris.
He started his career path in UK where he worked for Renault and Noblemar Property Investment.
In 1993 he moved to Russia and began to work for the European Furniture Company as Financial Director, then as Deputy General Director and in 1999 became General Director.
After the acquisition of the company by the Russian leader in furniture in 2002, Alex de Valukhoff started to work for Shatura combining the positions of Deputy General Director and Director for Finance, Corporate Governance and Strategy. He was also a member of the Board of Directors. In 2005 he took the responsibility of Shatura’s wholesale and retail trade arms.
In 2006 and 2007 he was an independent Director on the Board of Directors of EuroChem, the Russian leader in fertilisers. He there headed the Audit Committee.
He joined Lafarge in January 2007 to lead the World Cement leader’s operation in Russia.
