Owner, Aidan Gallery
Aidan Salakhova founded Aidan Gallery in 1992. She has been an Academician of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts since 2006 and was made a member of the Public Chamber in 2005. In 2002, the Russian Academy of Fine Arts awarded her its Silver Medal and made her a Correspondent Member. In 2000, Ms Salakhova began teaching at Surikov Art Institute, where she graduated as a non-resident in 1987. In 1989-92, she was one of the organizers and co-owners of First Gallery, Moscow.
Ms Salakhova’s artistic works have been included in solo and group exhibitions at galleries and museums around the world, including the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art and Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Volker Diehl Gallery in Berlin, the Dresden City Art Gallery, the National Gallery at Veletrzny Palac in Prague, the Kunsthalle in Dusseldorf and Venice Biennale 2011. Her art has also been featured in a number of publications.
